Durian. Search and rescue operation to find missing victims from flood due to torrential rains in Indonesia’s North Luwu in South Sulawesi continues with the death toll from the disaster rose to 32 as of July 16 evening, the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) said.
More than 500 rescuers from various institutions and organization join the operation to find 16 other who are still missing.
Almost 1,600 people from six districts in North Luwu regency are directly affected by the June 13 flood that caused the closure of Andi Jemma Airport until July 29 after its runway was covered by mud.
