Rescue Operation of Indonesia’s Bandung Train Crash Victims

Durian. At least two bodies have been pulled from the crashed trains in Cicalengka, Bandung in Indonesia’s West Java on January 5, 2024.

According to officials two more bodies are still trapped between compartments.

The train crash took place on January 5, 2024 morning between a commuter train from Padalarang Station to Cicalengka Station with distance train Turangga that was heading to Bandung Train Station from Gubeng Train Station in Surabaya, East Java.

At least 28 people were reportedly injured and taken to nearby hospitals and medical clinics.

The ongoing evacuation process and rescue efforts were captured in photos, attributed to the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas). ***
