Durian. Torrential rains on Jan.16 have triggered landslides and flood in Manado, capital of Indonesia’s North Sulawesi province, causing at least five people died, the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) said on Jan.17.
Search and rescue operation has started since Jan.16 and rescuers managed to safe 500 people, while one individual is still missing.
According to BNPB, the flood was 50 to 300 centimeters high.
Weather forecast showed that Manado will continue experiencing heavy rains with lights and thunders for the next few days.
