Indonesia’s President Prabowo’s Nephew Thomas Djiwandono Sworn in as Deputy Central Bank

Durian. Thomas Djiwandono, a nephew of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto was sworn in on Monday, 9 February 2026 as a deputy governor of the Central Bank for 2026-2031 term at the Supreme Court, lead by the Supreme Chief Judge Sunarto.

According to his oath, Thomas promised that he would not give any promise or take any thing to anybody deliberately or not in relation with his position. This promise is a form of the integrity pact to against corruption and bribery

“I pledge that I will perform my duties and responsibilities as a deputy governor of the Central Bank of Indonesia to the best of my ability and with full accountability,” Thomas said.

.Thomas is the first born of President Prabowo’s eldest sister Biantiningsih Miderawati Djojohadikusumo and Central Bank Governor period 1993-1998 Sudrajat Djiwandono.

Before taking office as a deputy governor of the Central Bank of Indonesia, Thomas has served as a deputy finance minister since 2024 to 2026 during the presidency of Joko Widowo and his uncle Prabowo Subianto.

Thomas replaced Juda Agung who resigned for the post as a deputy governor of the Central Bank on 13 January 2026.

President Prabowo appointed Juda Agung as a deputy finance minister 5 February 2026 to replace Thomas.***
