Durian. The Ministry of Technology and Research of Indonesia on Jan. 25 showed its technology development achievement by introducing its first domestic made mobile laboratory that can conduct polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test that is related with covid-19 pandemic handling solution in Jakarta.
The unit is called Mobile Lab Bio Safety II and the first unit is expected to operate in Banten province where the number of confirmed covid-19 case is still high.
As of Jan.25, Indonesia’s covid-19 case tally has reached 999,256 including 28,132 deaths.
With the mobile laboratory, a PCR test result can be received after four hours process.
To develop a unit of the mobile laboratory is needed Rp 3 to 6 billion ($213,400-426,800) depends on the completeness of its interior supporting tools.
Therefore, the government expects private companies through their corporate social responsibility scheme can have initiative to develop the kind of mobile laboratory.
Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Pandjaita, Technology and Research Minister Bambang S. Brodjonegoro are among those who were witnessed the new product.
