Durian. A mother from a village in Sikka regency in East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia has experienced a premature birth, sadly the baby head was left in her womb on July 12, media reported.
Police Insp. Margono, chief of Kewapante District Police explained the detail of the unfortunate incident saying that the pregnant woman was busy since July 11 morning until evening attending a family event at one of her relatives’ house that is about 500 meter from her house.
She walked home in the evening by carrying her three-year old child. Though the distance of to her house from her relative’s house is close, the road contour is uphill.
The woman told other in the house that she was exhausted. When she urinated in early July 12 early morning, part of her baby’s body came out.
“Because of panic, she immediately pulled the baby out. Unfortunately, the baby came out headless,” Margono said as quoted from Kompas.com on July 16.
The woman kept the baby’s body in a plastic bag and a few hours later she visited a midwife who brought her to a local medical clinic to get medical treatment.
“At the clinic, medical workers took the head and placenta that were left inside the womb, out,” Margono explained.
The mother was allowed to return home in the same day.
