Durian. Malaysian government on Feb.24 launched its national vaccination for covid-19 virus for its citizen and foreigners who are living in the country, Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin said.
For the first phase, the vaccination is targeted 500,000 people from Feb-April 2021, while the second batch from April to August for 9.4 million people.
PM Yassin was first in line to receive the injection of covid-19 vaccine along with Malaysian Director General of Health Dr. Hisham Abdullah in Putrajaya.
“The kingdom previously has decided to give covid-19 vaccines for free not only to its citizens but also foreign nationals. We believe that the efforts that have been taking by the government is to protect the people from contagious of covid-19[virus],” PM Yassin said in his twitter account.
The country expects to vaccinate at least 80 percent of its adult population.
Malaysian government has received covid-19 vaccines from Prizer-BioNTech on Feb.21.
