Durian. Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto on Wednesday, 6 Nov. 2024 officially congratulated the United States’ president-elect Donald Trump for his election victory.
Through his social media account at X, President Prabowo delivered his congratulatory message.
“My heartfelt congratulations to Mr. @realDonaldTrump for being elected as the 47th President of the United States of America,” President Prabowo said.
He reiterated that Indonesia and the United States are strategic partners who share a robust and multifaceted relationship.
“Our strategic partnership holds immense potential for mutual benefit, and I look forward to collaborating closely with you and your administration to further enhance this partnership and for global peace and stability,” President Prabowo added.
Donald Trump from Republican Party seized over 51 percent of votes or 277 seats at the time this news is broadcast and the real count has reached over 80 percent, while his contender Kamala Haris from Democratic Party has earned 224 seats.
This is the second time for Donald Trump to win the US election after becoming the country’s 45th president from 2017 to 2021.
Trump and his running mate Vice President-elect JD Vance will resume office by 20 Jan. 2025. (***)
