Indonesia to Hold Simultaneous Regional Elections on 27 Nov.

Durian. The Indonesian General Elections Commission or KPU on Sunday, 31 March launched the beginning of the 2024 regional elections that will be held on 27 November.

The regional elections will be held in 37 out of 38 provinces as Yogyakarta with its special autonomy status is not going to elect governor and vice governor.

People will vote for their leaders in the provincial, regency and municipal levels in the upcoming regional elections.

There are 508 regencies and municipal that will hold the elections across Indonesia.

“The KPU  hosts the launching of the 2024 simultaneous regional elections that is planned to be held on 27 Nov. 2024,” Chairperson of the KPU Hasyim Asyari said in Yogyakarta in the second day of the KPU’s national meetings.

Registration for candidate leaders will be open between 27 and 29 August and the fixed candidates list is going to be announced on 22 Sept.

Regional election campaigns will be conducted between 25 Sept. and 23 Nov. (***)
