Durian. Covid-19 pandemic is impacted tourism industry which including hotels, food and beverage sectors, very hard due to travel restrictions, border closure and other restrictions aiming to protect people health from the spreading of the virus.
Global hospitality group Hilton which includes Double Tree and Conrad has launched CleanStay initiative for its Southeast Asia region hotels and resorts in order to meet health protocol standard during the pandemic.
Andre Gomez, regional general manager Hilton Indonesia and Timor Leste hosted the launching of the initiative in Jakarta.
The launching of the initiative was on Nov.11 by Paul Hutton, Vice President for operations for Hilton’s Southeast Asia region through video recording.
At the same time he also introduced Hilton EventReady which is the company’s global cleanliness and customer service program specific to meetings and events.
In a showcase tour, a group of journalists in Jakarta, Indonesia including The Big Durian had opportunity to witness the preparedness process of cleanliness in guest rooms, restaurant, sport facility and meeting room that in line with its CleanStay and EventReady initiatives to ensure health protection for customers without forgetting to apply social distancing, limited human-to-human contacts procedures including payment flexibility at its Double Tree Diponegoro in Central Jakarta.
