Durian. Indonesian Police’s anti-terror unit Detachment 88 in cooperation with regional police personnel have arrested at least four suspected terrorists, including a woman, in several locations in West Kalimantan province on Feb.17, police officials said.
The female suspect was arrested in Sekadau regency in early morning, Chief Comrs. Attendant Tri Panungko, head of Sekadau Police office said as reported by state-run news agency Antara.
Panungko said she was taken to West Kalimantan Police headquarters in Pontianak.
“Detachment 88 have arrested three suspected terrorists, each of them was caught in different location in Pontianak, Singkawang and Kubu Raya regency,” Chief Comsr. Donny Charles Go, spokesperson of West Kalimantan Police said on Feb.17.
The three were mentioned by their initials as R.E. (28), M (20) and M.R. (27) who were arrested in Pontianak, Singkawang and Kubu Raya regency respectively.
All of them are now under police questioning in West Kalimantan Police headquarters. According to Indonesia’s Anti-Terrorism Law, police have 7×24 hours to detain suspected terrorists before determining their legal status.
