Durian. Former National Police Chief Gen. (Ret.) Awaludin Djamin passed away on Jan. 31 at age 91, at Medistra hospital in Jakarta.
The late general was on the top position of the institution from 1978 to 1982.
He earned his master degree from University of Pittsburg and doctoral from University of Southern California in the United States.
Besides reaching the highest position in the National Police, Awaludin had many other positions such as in the People Consultative Assembly, an adviser to president and ambassador to Germany.
His remain will lay down on Feb.1.
