Durian. Love has proven its power of creation when Jodhi Yudono, an Indonesian journalist and musician held a music-poems concert Sepasang Kupu-Kupu Ungu, or a couple of purple butterflies, in Jakarta’s Textile Museum on Feb.16.
The concert was tribute to the musician’s late wife Violi Nurlila who passed away in 2017. As she loved Indonesian traditional fabrics, the concert also presented her collections, mostly woven fabrics from East Nusa Tenggara.
The country’s prominent singers Paramitha Rusady and Syaharani sung Jodhi’s songs while his poems were read out by prominent artists Sha Ine Febriyanti and Ira Wibowo on Saturday afternoon.
