Fire Breaks at Indonesia’s Fuel Storage, 6 Killed

Durian. At least six people dead after fire broke at a fuel storage owned by Indonesia’s state-owned oil and gas company Pertamina in North Jakarta on Friday evening.

Firefighters continue battle to extinguish the fire. The cause of the fire is still unknown, but residents who are living in the neighbouring location have evacuated themselves to safer locations.

Several people are reportedly injured and the number of casualties is likely to increase as the fuel storage contributes to 20 percent of Indonesia’s fuel consumption.
