Durian. Indonesian Police in Jambi have uncovered illegal gold trader network, capturing six people, including a police officer.
Jambi police from special crime investigation unit through a series of investigations and arrests in Jambi, neighbouring province of Bengkulu, Jakarta and West Sumatra since November have arrested suspects who have various tasks in the network such as to connect the network with investors, according to Senior Commissioner Sigit Dany Setiyono, head of the police unit.
He explained, the police officer has task to guard transfer process of illegal gold, which he earned 2 million rupiah ($140) per each shipment.
“We will discover the network completely, from its upstream to downstream,” the police official said on Dec. 13 in Jambi.
